Microchipping

Microchipping:  Dog and cat microchipping is a simple procedure. A veterinarian simply injects a microchip, about the size of a grain of rice (12mm), beneath the surface of your pets skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine shot, takes only a few seconds, and your pet will not react any more than to a vaccination. No anesthetic is required.

A HomeAgain microchip is permanent pet ID. The microchip itself has no internal energy source, so it will last the life of your pet. It is read by passing a microchip scanner over the pets’ shoulder blades. The scanner emits a low radio frequency that provides the power necessary to transmit the microchips unique cat or dog ID code and positively identify the pet.

HomeAgain is the only dog & cat microchipping product on the market today that has the Bio-Bond patented anti-migration feature to help ensure that the microchip will stay in place so that it may be easily located and scanned. If your pet gets lost and is taken to an animal shelter or veterinarian, they can scan the microchip to read its unique ID code. This is the number used by HomeAgain to identify the pet and retrieve your contact information, which is used to contact you and reunite you with your pet.

REUNITED WITH MY SWEETHEART!

After shortly moving into my new apartment, my cat Bella, somehow managed to get out through the front door without anyone seeing. Since she was in a new environment and area, she had no idea how to get home. I kept searching everyday for my baby Bella, yet she was no where to be found.

I hung up HomeAgain Lost Pet Flyers that were provided to me by HomeAgain, posted on social media and called the dog pound daily. I pretty much tried everything. Everyone was telling me not to get my hopes up and that my sweet Bella was stolen because she was too friendly. I kept getting calls from people who thought they had found my girl, but once they sent me a photo, I knew it wasn’t Bella.

After four months of no Bella, she was found! I set up a date and time to meet the kindhearted person who found my kitty. When I finally saw my girl, I couldn’t help but cry tears of joy; I was so happy to see my Bella. She is the most lovable cat and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.

I was so happy that someone had found her. I am so glad that I never gave up on her! Never lose hope when you love someone/something very much. Thank you HomeAgain for giving me hope and for helping reunite me with my precious girl!

Has your pet been micro-chipped with a HomeAgain microchip and you received a letter or email that looks like this?

Dear HomeAgain Client

Well, automatically the first thing you think is that if you don’t pay this fee every year, your pet will not be found in their system should they become lost and you have wasted your time getting them micro-chipped. However, this is not the case. When you read the bottom line, which we have highlighted above, you will see that your pet will always be identified by the microchip. The initial fee you were charged for the microchip included the one time registration fee, which in our case here at FPHC, we register your pet from our clinic as part of the process. Your pet will then be in their database FOREVER with no additional charge to keep them there. HomeAgain offers “extra benefits” for you and your pet which you cannot get with the ‘basic’ registration and that is what the membership above explains. So don’t worry, there is no obligation to pay any further fees ever.
